plaqueAt Millbrook Nursery children between the ages of three and four discover, absorb, learn and enjoy as they take their first steps in a learning environment, following the EYFS Early Years Foundation Stage

The EYFS curriculum is taught in ways that build on a child’s curiosity and interests, enabling them to learn through a balance of well planned and child initiated play activities.  Children in the EYFS learn by playing and exploring; being active; and through creative and critical thinking, which takes place both indoors and outside. We aim to provide high quality early years specialist education [through play experiences] to enable each child to achieve their full potential and build good foundations for life.

We have physical activity everyday and a reserved time slot in the hall for PE on a Wednesday.

On Fridays we cook, so please bring in a suitable container to transport your culinary delight home!!

In Nursery we encourage children to wear a uniform, which is comfortable and easy to manage independently when dressing up and going to the toilet.
The Nursery uniform: Boys: Navy blue sweat shirt and navy blue or black track-suit bottoms.
The Nursery uniform:Girls: Same as boys or a navy blue pinafore / skirt and navy blue cardigan.

The uniform is available from local stores, but if you prefer the school logo – Sweat shirts and cardigans are on sale from the school office.

Please make sure all your child’s clothes are named.

See our Uniform page for more information.
