Reception Home Learning for Tuesday 21st April 2020
Good morning everyone!
My apologies for the late upload, I have been having some internet connection problems!
Today I would like you to learn all about rock pools. Watch the video with a grown up and discuss it!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWCQo...
Questions to ask the children
• Which animals live on the seashore?
• What plants live on the seashore?
• How does sand feel between your toes?
• What is seaweed?
• How do you think rock pools are made?
• Who lives in a rock pool?
Can children create their own rock pool? They can make it out of any materials found at home or outside. The can draw one if they want to. Label the things that live in the rock pool.
Then watch Numberblocks: twelve. Count 12 objects around your house and find different ways to make 12 with two groups. You could even make a number line to order and rearrange!
Reception Home Learning for Wednesday 22ns April 2020
Good morning everyone!
For your challenges today we would like you to play a memory game!
Put 10 things from around the house on a tray - it could be things like a pencil, an orange, some cotton wool, a toy etc.. Ask your child to look carefully at them for about thirty seconds. Then take the tray away and ask them to call out what they remember.
Another way of playing the game is to cover the things, take one thing away and ask the child to spot what is missing. You can put more things on the tray as they get better.
Then follow the Oak National Academy maths lesson on Finding one more than a given number!
Have a lovely day😀

Have a lovely day!
