Phonics programme followed - Letters and Sounds

Reading:
Reading books are changed regularly. Please listen to your child read at home daily and sign the Reading Record. It is important to ask your child questions about what he/she read to improve comprehension skills. 

Home learning:
Home Learning will be given to children on Fridays and expected to be handed in on Wednesdays.

PE:
Our PE lessons are on Tuesdays.  The children need their kit in school every day in case sessions change. Please ensure all uniform is clearly labelled with their name.  If your child wears earrings they need to be able to remove them or cover them with tape. Long hair needs to be tied up.

Mid-morning snacks and drinks:
Children can bring in a snack to eat at break.  This should either be fresh or dried fruit, a cereal bar, a yoghurt tube (e.g. Frubes) or similar finger food (no chocolate or fizzy drinks please). 
It is useful for the children to have a water bottle in class, so that they can have a drink quickly, particularly when the weather is hot.

Housepoints are awarded for positive behaviour and good work.
