HOME LEARNING

Given out: Friday

Completed and handed in by: Wednesday

Spellings, English and Maths all to be completed and revised in the (red) Home Learning books.

Reading – Children are expected to read every night for 15 minutes and their Reading Record should be signed.

P.E.

As we are now in the Spring Term, Year 5 will be having swimming sessions every Monday afternoon. Please ensure each child comes prepared for this with: one piece swimsuit / swimming trunks (non-baggy), swimming hat and a towel. The children are welcome to bring their own goggles. All jewellery will need to be removed before they can enter the pool.

Our PE lessons are on Thursdays. Please ensure all uniform is clearly labelled with their name. If your child wears earrings they need to be able to remove them or cover them with tape. Long hair needs to be tied up.

MID-MORNING SNACKS AND DRINKS
Children can bring in a snack to eat at break.  This should either be fresh or dried fruit, a cereal bar, a yoghurt tube (e.g. Frubes) or similar finger food (no chocolate or fizzy drinks please).
It is useful for the children to have a water bottle in class, so that they can have a drink quickly, particularly when the weather is hot.
